Learn. Laugh. Live.

This is the recipe to feed our souls. Continuous learning and regular bursts of amusement support and nourish a happy, productive, and meaningful existence.

Experience creates and defines all of us. For what are we really if not simply the mass sum of our unique experiences?

It's so easy to remember to learn and to laugh when we're young. We get taught in school, have fun with our friends and life seems fulfilling (though also overwhelming with hormones and excess drama).

As we get older, we don't always continue to learn and challenge ourselves. Even those of us with several graduate or post-graduate degrees can lapse in learning. After so much intensive study, it can be like overdosing to the point of avoidance.

We can all get so wrapped up in our own lives that we forget to laugh and enjoy ourselves. And we are all guilty of taking ourselves too seriously sometimes. Especially during times of heightened stress and intense pressure. Which are the times we need amusement even more! Not to make light of or forget about our problems but to put them into perspective and to remember what it feels like to be happy. Or to learn something new and use those fancy fresh skills to make your life — or someone else's life — better than it was before.

Thus begets the cycle. Once we start learning, creating, and experiencing the positive change that comes from adding value to ourselves we realize we can do anything. And that's a powerful notion.

Now, I know what you might be thinking:

"That sounds all well and good. But what does tea have to do with any of this?"

It's a valid question. And below is my best attempt at an answer for you.

Rituals are an essential part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The ritual of tea drinking has so many wonderful benefits including:

  • Tea can be consumed alone, creating a restful pause in a chaotic world

  • Different teas have health benefits covering a wide range of ailments

  • Caffeinated tea can keep you up when needed for any number of worthy causes from studying for exams to overnight brain surgery or triage nursing

  • Tea can be enjoyed with several people, generating an occasion for meaningful connection

  • A perfectly brewed cup of tea can change your mood from downtrodden to uplifted

  • I could go on for days, but I think you get the idea here...tea also helps us feed our soul

Hence it is the combination of experiencing something new over a cup of tea (alone, with friends, loved ones, co-workers, or with previously-unknown-acquaintances) that is at the heart of Teamusing and what we hope to bring to the world. I hope you'll join us in this most auspicious endeavour.

Either way, I wish you an insightful, engaging and fulfilling life.

Your humble attendant,
